Dr. Sandra Carrell Tremblay

I have been the Clinic Director at Alamo Heights Chiropractic Health Center for the past 30 years. I became a chiropractor to help families and athletes reach their optimal health potential. Chiropractic health care focuses on a strong healthy nervous system and a fit flexible body. Our team of experts are honored to coach our patients back to the health they desire for a lifetime filled with energy and vitality. We utilize chiropractic, massage therapy, exercise fitness, the PowerPlate, nutrition and orthopedic supports to meet our patient's needs.

I am very proud to be a doctor of chiropractic. I have served on the board of the Texas Chiropractic Assocication and the Board of Regents of the Texas Chiropractic College to keep the highest quality of health care offered to the citizens of Texas and taught to the chiropractors of the future. My staff and I are in a constant training mode, and attend educational conferences each year as a team. We are members of The Markson Connection, the most professional chiropractic organizations in the world.

We have a great team of professionals with a focus on treating and preventing sports injuries, working with families as well as busy professionals. We work with a holistic view to the individual in order to treat not only the symptomatic problem that usually brings you into a chiropractor's clinic, but work to find the root cause of those symptoms and all the adapative processes that your body has made to try to live with the condition to date. This means that we often must utilize not only our chiropractic experts, but also our deep tissue massage therapists, our fitness trainers and our Digital X-ray tech to fully diagnose and treat the whole person through a successful rehabilitation. Once achieved, our goal is to keep our patients functioning at their optimal health potential for a lifetime.

My mentor is my grandmother, Louise Neuerburg, recently passed away at 99 years old. She was the best role model of health inside and out that I have ever known and in turn, lived a vital, fruitful life. That is my goal for myself, my family and my patients. My husband I are in our clinic gym early with Jeff twice a week, working out to keep ourselves functionally fit too! o I look forward to the opportunity to meet and work with you and your family and help you live your best life!

My interest in health care has been a lifelong passion. After graduating high school, I enlisted in the US Air Force as a hospital corpsman. I soon became disillusioned with the medical model's focus on masking symptoms. After 5 years, I attended Stony Brook University to study pre-med and discovered a pamphlet on chiropractic in the library.

I learned that the focus of chiropractic was on finding the cause (nerve interference) instead of covering symptoms. The doctor then looks to posture and restoring spinal function in order to improve nerve function, allowing the cells, tissues and organs of the body to fully express their life potential. The tools chiropractors use are good posture, flexibility, exercise, nutrition and other healthy habits. Wow! The body is self healing!

I wanted to become a chiropractor, because I realized that in life, there are no coincidences, just opportunities! For the past 30 years, I have been able to work as a chiropractor in different settings, always trying to surround myself with folds who desire to take control of their health and wellness by living intentionally through the 5 Maximize Principles to below in which I agree:

  1. Mind - Change your thoughts to change your life. Avoid negative thoughts and make healthy thinking your regular habit.
  2. Nerve Function - Get regular spinal adjustments to correct vertebral subluxations (misalignments) and maximize nerve control of body functions.
  3. Nutrition - Cut out processed foods, fast foods and eating out to avoid chronic illnesses.
  4. Oxygen Intake - Practice deep breathing and regular exercise.
  5. Eliminate Toxins - Be aware of the chemicals in the everyday items and make thoughtful choices in the products in the products you choose to use.

Follow these simple steps and enjoy optimal health in your life. I am thankful to Dr. Tremblay and her wonderful team for the opportunity to serve this community. I have been married to my lovely wife, Dale, for 30 years and we have 3 son, 1 daughter, and 6 grandchildren. We are active in our church and volunteer in civic and community outreach programs. I look forward to working with you!
