I am Kathleen Gunn. I grew up in a family that frequently indulged in chiropractic adjustments. A few years ago, when the heel of my shoe caught in my pants leg, I took a tumble down our stairs that would make most stunt men proud. I knew my knee would not be my only problem. That’s when I began frequenting the Alamo Heights Chiropractic Health Center. Two wonderful things happened... The doctors and massage therapist expedited my healing and everyone became my friend.
In January, 2010, when I waiting for my adjustment, I looked around at everyone who
Worked there and was really taken with the sparkle in their eyes and how good their skin looked—and the fact that they all looked slimmer after Christmas! “How did that happen?”, I asked. The doctors and staff had all just completed the 8 Weeks to Wellness program. HMMMM.......
I met both my husband and son for lunch that day and told them about these amazing results, and they both said “I want to do that!” (That was amazing, in itself, for in 30+ years of marriage, my husband has never once said “I want to do an exercise program”, or “I want to go on a diet’.)
We went to the orientation and weighed the “reality quotient” ...would we really do this? We decided we could do anything for eight weeks, so we signed up!
It wasn’t without its adjustments, mind you, but in time, as things began to fit looser and putting on socks and tying shoes became easier, we both began to blossom. People started making comments about how good our skin looked and our sparkly eyes ...it felt good and so did we! So much so, in fact, that after our eight weeks and a cruise, we decided to continue our workouts, adjustments and keep an eye on the intake. It’s made a tremendous difference in how we feel about life and ourselves
You can do anything for eight weeks, and who knows ...it might make a lifetime of difference!
