I was in good shape. For my 47^th Birthday, I agreed to go with my  OLDER cycling sister to Bike World and buy myself a new bike.

The next day, sweet Linda took me to Boerne for an 18 mile bike ride up hill the entire ride and I promise I saw clouds sitting on the tops of the road. When we finished, I was exhilarated, and I was making plans to do it again. My verbage went something like this, “Oh my God!, that was fantastic!, beautiful country!, Horses everywhere! Great Ride!, I made it up those hills! Did you see those clouds?, Lets Do that again! How about friday?! Oooohhhhh That Was great!

The next morning I called Linda, from bed. “Hey, about the bike ride tomorrow, I think I’d better cancel cause, I CAN”T MOVE MY LEGS!!!!!!!” …….… LAUGH, LAUGH, LAUGH

For the next 3 years……………...... my bicycle hung from a hook in a storage room, I could not go to my beloved Concord classes, even walking hurt, I visited orthopedic surgeons, couldn’t bend over to put on my own socks, had my spine MRI’d , checked my bone density, developed a relationship with my physical therapist, couldn’t sleep because of leg pain, Yoga hurt, went to a spinal clinic, tried “alternative medical clinics”, had my pelvis MRI’d, did strength building, hid from AARP, and got a weekly massage. Nothing helped!!! The Doctor's advice was "take pain medication for the rest of my life".  I had exhausted all ideas on how to get rid of my pain and stiffness.My daughter asked me to take her to a chiropractor that her friend had recommended. Thus, I graced the steps of AHCHC.

They took a spinal picture, explained the pulled muscles prescribed that I come 3 X per week for 2 weeks, and 2 X per week for 4 weeks.

In just 6 weeks, I was back at the Concord and riding my bike!!!!
