Approximately three years ago I started having middle back
problems.Having never suffered any type
of back injury I was perplexed as to what was causing it?I have always exercised to a moderate degree
and was involved in activities requiring some degree of flexibility. For the next year and a half the pain came
and went. And I didn*t think much of it
until I also started having reflux!
When I visited Dr. Carrell for the first time, she
encouraged me to let some adjustments take effect before I started taking
reflux medicine; under the assumption that the nerves that communicate through
middle back joints, required adjusting and this could clear up the reflux,
since this area of the back corresponds to the functions of the digestive
system.After my first adjustment, the
reflux went away and hasn*t returned since!Adhering to the exercises, paying attention to my posture, as well as,
working through a progressive adjustment program, has dramatically helped my
midde back, my neck (which I was self correcting every 10 minutes), and
straightened out my gait.
