Jeff Carrell, R.M.T.
I am the Fitness Specialist for the clinic, and the doctor’s brother. I grew up in Pasadena, got my degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and have lived in San Antonio for twelve years. I came by my exercise background through a circuitous route. My anatomy and physiology training in college, massage school, at the Cooper Institute and a variety of additional training around the country give me a different perspective than most personal trainers. We frequently do rehabilitation work at the clinic and it is the eight years I have spent here working with patients that has given me the richest training on improving function. We look at exercise a little differently at Alamo Heights Chiropractic Health Center. In addition to conventional training we provide state of the art equipment like the PowerPlate, mixed apparatus both innovative and time proven, and will soon be offering a variety of classes in our gym. For exercise a little different, and more effective come and see us soon.

I attended the European Massage Therapy Institute in San Antonio and have been a registered massage therapist since 1997 and a personal trainer since 2003. I specialize in deep tissue massage. I have been trained in myofascial release, PNF stretching, reflexology, Lypossage, and trigger point therapy. I enjoy working with athletic injuries in order to quicken the rehabilitation time. I have experienced success working on the following: headaches (migraine), stiff necks, rotator cuff strain, tennis/golfer’s elbow, wrist/finger pain, mid and low back pain/stiffness, hip pain, knee pain, and plantar fasciitis.
I enjoy running our 8 Weeks to Wellness program, where I am able to utilize both massage and fitness training to help our patients reach their incredible health goals. They inspire me every day!
Lorena Salazar, R.M.T.
I was born in Huntington Park, California and raised in Apple Valley. My family moved to San Antonio in 1994. Initially studying to be a lab tech at St. Phillips College, I changed to massage therapy when I noticed that my family was always tense and could not relax. I have been married for 8 years and am a mother to two beautiful children. I spend as much time with my family as I can. In my spare time I enjoy reading and cooking.
I have 9 years of experience as a massage therapist, and have been here at AHCHC enhancing health and wellness through relaxing bodywork since 2007. I am passionate about massage therapy and am committed to providing the best service to everyone who comes into AHCHC. I look forward to treating you soon!
