I am very proud to be a doctor of chiropractic. I have served on the board of the Texas Chiropractic Assocication and the Board of Regents of the
My staff and I are in a constant training mode, and attend 4 to 5 educational conferences each year as a team. We are members of The Masters Circle, the largest and most professional chiropractic organization in the world.
We have a great team of professionals with a focus on sports injury training. We work with a wholistic view to the individual in order to treat not only the symptomatic problem that usually brings you into a chiropractor's clinic, but work to find the root cause of those symptoms and all the adapative processes that your body has made to try to live with the condition to date. This means that we often must utilize not only our chiropractic experts, but also our deep tissue massage therapists, our fitness trainers and our Digital X-ray tech to fully diagnose and treat the whole person through a successful rehabilitation. Once achieved, our goal is to keep our patients functioning at their optimal health potential for a lifetime.
My mentor is my grandmother, Louise Neuerburg, who is 98 1/2 years old and still gets regular chiropractic adjustments every 2 weeks. She has been an excellent role model of health inside and out that I have ever known and in turn, has lived a vital, fruitful life. That is my goal for myself, my family and my patients.
I look forward to the opportunity to meet and work with you and your family. Yours for Better Health - S.C.T.
Dr. Shane E. Parker
Growing up in the San Antonio and Kerrville area, I played soccer and football and have had a very active life. I dreamed of a collegiate football career, but changed directions after an ATV accident that shattered my femur and other bones. After surgery, rehab, tremendous discomfort and constant headaches, I discovered chiropractic, which found the underlying subluxations undetected by my medical doctor, surgeon, and physical therapist. My Chiropractor checked out my entire body and established the common link to all of my complaints. The first few adjustments eliminated my headaches. I slept through the night, and I threw away the crutches. My over all recovery and return to full function astonished all of my health care providers except my chiropractor. It was his encouragement and hope that gave me direction and guidance to do the same with others.
I also earned a BS in anatomy and a BS in health and wellness before becoming a chiropractic physician. I have trained in a ChiropracticBirth centerMidwife Wellness center specializing in pregnancy and children, which was a great experience and has become my true passion. I graduated from Texas A&M with a bonus—my wife Andrea. Together we have two wonderful boys, 2 year old Mason and 7 month old Logan. My personal experience with my wife and sons have deepened my passion as a specialist in neonatal and infant care. Chiropractic care helps with the discomforts associated with pregnancy and helps to maintain proper positioning and nervous system function for the mom and baby, which also decreases labor time.
I have now moved back “home” to San Antonio to raise my family and continue with my mission of restoring hope and health to as many families as possible. Chiropractic can and will improve the lives of everyone, which is why I love my job. I am able to be in a position where I can offer hope to everyone I come into contact with. No matter what anyone has told you, there is always hope that you can have a better quality of life. Whatever the condition or complaint is, we at the Alamo Heights Chiropractic Health Center can help.
So what are you waiting for? Give us a call so we can begin our journey together to restore hope and health.
